As part of its ambitious growth plans and ongoing global hiring process, data management product company, Intix, has announced the appointment of Kurt Florus as the company’s new Chief Technology Officer (CTO).
Following its acquisition by Summa Equity in early 2022, Intix has been working to add more sector expertise to its growing team with several key strategic hires. Now, the company has announced the addition of Kurt Florus as the company’s new CTO. With over two decades of experience working for both startups and major global organizations, Kurt possesses the skillset and industry acumen needed to help Intix go further in its pursuit of making transaction data actionable in real-time.
Prior to joining Intix, Kurt had held leadership positions in companies across the fields of biotech, technology and fintech. Most recently, he had served as the CTO and a board member at Bluebee, a renowned cloud-based platform for genetic information management. During this period, Kurt was a major factor in the company’s growth and played a pivotal role in its successful acquisition by Illumina in 2020. Before this, Kurt had also lent his expertise to noteworthy companies including Swift, FIS (Sungard), Trax and Capco.
As part of his new role, Kurt will leverage this immense knowledge and experience to support Intix’s exciting growth plans. By developing, refining, and improving the company’s advanced data platform, Kurt will help Intix as it looks to meet its goal of streamlining transaction processes while ensuring compliance and audit readiness among businesses. In doing so, he will help the company to improve visibility and control over transaction processing for financial institutions, empowering them to better serve their clients.
Speaking on his new role, Kurt Florus, CTO at Intix commented: “It’s very exciting to join Intix at this important phase of development as we look to sustain momentum generated from our acquisition by Summa Equity early last year. I am very eager to support the company’s continued growth by helping to deliver the most advanced data platform for financial transactions. Together, we will help financial institutions tackle complex data challenges, ensuring compliance and operational excellence remain top priorities.”
Sandrine Garin, CEO of Intix stated: “I am delighted to welcome Kurt Florus as our new CTO. His extensive experience in both healthcare and the financial industry will enable us to offer even greater value to our clients. Kurt is the perfect person to fill the shoes of Wouter Van Santvliet, our co-founder and former CTO who will continue to provide his expertise in supporting the company’s technological research.”
While Kurt Florus will take on the day-to-day responsibilities associated with the CTO role, Wouter Van Santvliet will continue to provide his expertise in supporting the company’s innovation and development. By taking this course of action, Intix has reaffirmed its commitment to addressing many of the long-standing problems that continue to plague the financial domain. Moving forward, the company will continue to prioritize continuous technology enhancements as it looks to address surging transaction volumes and new use cases.
